No stopping on the bridge! In October I had the pleasure of joining the Board of Directors of Creative Sanctuary, the non-profit of the Sanctuary, Arcata's community-based art and maker center at 1301 J St. In December I took on the temporary role of Bridge Executive Director of this inspiring organization which is in the throes of aspiring towards a sustainable financial model (not so easy in the fanciful world of arts non-profits). I am looking forward to supporting the growth and evolution of this artist sanctuary, which hosted me for a residency in August of 2019 where I was able to write my second play (a musical!). I believe this building serves a special purpose in the community and I want to see it thrive.
